Easy Morning Detox

Hope you had a happy Halloween and didn't eat too much sugar!

I was sick as a dog last week, so I got next to nothing done. But I do have some help for you as we dig into the holiday season.

It can be hard to feel balanced with holiday travels and parties. Here's my hot tip: start the day off right.

Starting the day with detox is a great way to stay anchored to your values over the holiday months.

Here's a morning routine that takes under 10 minutes:

  • Boil a mug of hot water then add a half-squeezed lemon

  • Find a cozy spot outdoors (best) or by a window

  • Gaze outside for 5 minutes- I know you don't want to do this one, but it's a game changer! Do with a timer and your hot water. Notice what you see, hear, smell and feel. Dispel any thoughts.

  • Close with an intention for the day. It will likely just come to you.

         Could be: "Keep it simple." "Stay present." "Move with care." etc.

  • End your routine with a little movement: deep breathing, squats, rebounding, arm swings, dry brushing, etc - whatever you choose. It's great to move lymph early in the day; it will energize you.
