Megaspore Probiotic is distributed only by practitioners, and I count myself lucky to be one of their few online distributors.

As such, I need to keep an eye on you if you take Megaspore!  Here are some questions I am commonly asked.  Please read them all over and afterwards I will share the information on how to purchase.

A.  How much Megaspore should I take?

The recommended maintenance dose is 2 capsules a day.  These can be taken both at once, or one taken with lunch, and one with dinner.  Once you have stabilized your gut, you could possibly take even less, like take 2 pills 3 times a week.

However, when you first take it, start with 1 capsule (or 1/2 capsule if you are sensitive) and watch for reactions. Skip a day.  If you have no adverse reactions, then you can move to 2 /day (or 1/day next if you are proceeding slowly).

If you are recovering from antibiotic use, a leaky gut, etc, you may need to take more Megaspore for a while, like 4-6 weeks.  I unfortunately was on antibiotics twice this year, and my body likes 4 /day to recover.

B.  Could I have adverse reactions?

Die-off symptoms are possible, i.e. bloating and loose stool. This has never happened for me. But if you have an abundance of unhealthy bacteria in your gut, you could get symptoms as these bacteria 'die off.'

C.  When should I take Megaspore?

It's best to take with meals containing protein.  Taking Megaspore with meals can help support digestion.  However you can take all your daily dose at one meal, and it seems to pack more punch for healing.  It's up to you.

D.  Can kids take Megaspore?

Yes, kids can take Megaspore, at a dose smaller than for adults.  If you have an infant or child under 25 pounds, I would just use a small sprinkle on food or on your finger (for a baby).  You can also mix it into breast milk or formula.  I would use it with a small child primarily to recover from antibiotic usage, or to avoid antibiotic usage.

Some children, especially if born via C section, may not be developing their gut microbiome properly, and the Megaspore could help.  You might see this manifest in irregular bowel patterns or food sensitivities. We have a nice podcast on infant health with Dr. Laura Brayton here.

Please discuss any probiotic therapy with your holistic or functional pediatrician.  If your child is 25 pounds, I would suggest 1/2 pill.  If you child is 50 pounds, then 1 pill.  As we learned in the above questions, there could be times that a higher dose is appropriate for an older child.

E.  What if I have SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth)?

Megaspore is compatible for people with SIBO.  However you will probably need other support to heal your SIBO.  We mentioned a few ideas on the webinar with Kiran.

F.  Can I take while pregnant or breastfeeding?

You can absolutely take while pregnant or breastfeeding, and it's a great idea!

G.  My order has not arrived.  Where is it?

Firstly, Megaspore orders are sent from the company, Physicians Exclusive, and not from my office. They are the best ones to contact with questions.  Also, they are not Amazon, so you won't get your package in 2 days!  Sometimes they have production delays.  I would allow two weeks to deliver, at the maximum.  You should get an email confirmation after any order.

Here is their contact info:

Toll Free: 855-729-5090
Email: info@gomegaspore.com

H.  Do you ship outside the U.S.?

Again, it is Physicians Exclusive that ships the orders.  They are willing to ship outside the U.S., but the fees are much higher, and they do not guarantee the package delivery.  This is a bummer, but it is unfortunately hard to ship supplements across borders.

If you do want to move forward with it, you will need to contact them (see contact info above), and mention that I am your distributing practitioner. (Please see UK, EU info below.)

I may apply to be a distributer in the UK, EU.  The cost there would be 50 pounds, all fees included.  If that is something you are interested in, please let me know!

I.  Can I take it while I'm on antibiotics?

Yes, it's a good idea to take while on antibiotics, but you can't take them at the same time (or it won't do any good). You can take 4 hours away from your antibiotic dose.

J.  Who do I ask for help when using the product?

You can contact me with any questions.  If it's an emergency, please call my phone at 971-533-2332.

K.  How do I buy it?

You can purchase at this link by entering the code WWC.  Thanks!
